As part of our ongoing commitment to our customers, we recently treated the winners of our Monthly Promotional Prize Draws to an unforgettable experience at the Vitality Blast Finals Day 2024 at iconic England cricket stadium, Edgbaston
The lucky winners, a couple from Rayne, Essex, have been customers of our rural full fibre broadband network since the summer.
Living in an older property, the avid sports fans occasionally work from home and have found that the gigabit speeds and network reliability uniquely provided by full fibre infrastructure have transformed their flexible working experience.
“The new full-fibre network from County Broadband in our village has completely transformed our working day. The ultra-reliable connection and lightning-fast download and upload speeds are exactly what we needed to support our hybrid work lifestyles,” they said.
The couple subscribed to a 300 Mbps (megabits per second) plan – about six times faster than UK average speed for rural areas. This allows them to download a feature-length film in just two minutes while multiple devices can easily handle 4k streaming, online gaming and video calls simultaneously.
Before attending the finals, the couple had watched T20 Blast matches at Chelmsford, home of the Essex Eagles, but had never visited the famous Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.
This year’s Vitality Blast Finals Day was therefore a special treat and they made the most of their day, watching both the semi-finals and final with all the added comforts of luxury VIP hospitality.
In addition to being passionate cricket fans, the couple had recently returned from an exciting trip to Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics, adding to their list of memorable sporting events in 2024.
Reflecting on the cricket finals day, they said: “It was a great day out, and we are very appreciative of the prize and opportunity to watch both the semi-finals and final with the added comforts of hospitality. We would like to send a big thank you to County Broadband for the fantastic day.”
