Our Role

This role is crucial for our continued rollout plans, across rural East Anglia.

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, You will oversee and manage the delivery of our engagement and sales events in rural communities. With a demonstrated ability to deliver successful events, you will be vital in ensuring we not only meet, but exceed our targets. You will:

  • Oversee the events sales team, provide coaching and support to ensure they deliver against realistic targets
  • Be the link between our events and the field sales team to ensure collaborative working
  • Ensure our events are a success through effective planning and delivery
  • Work with the Field Sales Manager to identify sales patterns and trends
  • Recruit, train and coach your team to deliver fantastic results and a public image we can be proud of
  • Deliver impactful events that generate awareness, leads and sales
  • Drive attendance to community events utilising a variety of methods including: social media, stakeholder engagement, distributing marketing materials and face to face engagement
  • Convert existing sales opportunities at events, ensuring commerciality is at the forefront of all activity
  • Create new and innovative ways to deliver the County Broadband message direct into local villages.
  • Identify potential marketing opportunities and work with the marketing team to bring them to life, including local shops, public houses, schools and social media
  • Generate and drive attendance to our events through direct customer interactions, as well as marketing streams

Your Skills

It’s a given that you can run an event well. However, this role is different. Our events can range from large village meetings, to pop ups in local retail stores all the way through to large charity events. The key is that not only do we support these rural communities, but that we deliver events that are commercially successful. To do this you will need:

  • To be a strong communicator, confident in engaging with people at all levels
  • To lead from the front. Your team will look to you for best practice
  • An outgoing and friendly personality that creates excitement
  • Strong organisational skills to manage and lead multiple events across different sites
  • Confidence in challenging the status quo
  • A flexible, target-driven, proactive approach
  • A passion for keeping up with market trends, ensuring product knowledge is always ahead of latest developments
